I would say that the best Xmas gift I ever received was a "Kid Sister" doll that I got at the age of 2, in 1986. I named her (I don't exactly remember the naming, I'm sure my mother helped.) "Heidi" because she had blonde hair in long pigtail braids. That doll never left my side growing up, and I still have her to this day. Now that I'm an adult and a mother, she has taken up a place on a shelf rather than on the bed, but sometimes I still look at her and remember fun times I had when I was a kid.

my mum and dad pretended that they had bought a dolls house for my cousin (who always got everything she wanted, ggrr) but it was actully for me! it was bit old and dodgy, the floors used to fall out at unexpected times and stuff like that but it was all mine and a complete surprise so i loved it even more!! i think sometimes parents nowdays seem to forget that you dont have to spend loads at xmas for your children to have a great time!

My son was 10 years old. So he asked for work at one of his relatives. He saved money for a month, then he send me a beautiful cascade (fountain). Was a great surprise for me. I cried for hours...but cs I was so happy. Will never forget it.
