I always thought it was about a break up - you know he's heard all the rumors and gets all the updates and just doesn't care about that person anymore because they don't care about him.

I am sure of this one, it was durng his divorce, he wrote music and recorded it about his life at that time, I know this for sure. I was getting divorced at the same time and saw an interview with him and that is what he said...love the song, it means he has been hurt enough and he is letting go...

It's about a guy who is fed up with his nagging, bitching, condescending girlfirend or wife, and he doesn't give a damn about what she thinks anymore. It's a catharctic expression.
