The reason that he gave us for going into war with Iraq was to stop Saddam from producing Weapons of Mass Destruction. However, he has come out and said that there were no WMD's. So he changed the purpose of the war to speading democracy. Do you still support him after this?

No there were no WMD's found, the Bush Administration admitted that.

And there were NO terrorist camps in Iraq before the war. There are now only because the border isn't/wasn't secured.

In response to the fact that something like 9/11 could happen because of Iraq, how?

With no WMD's I doubt they could do much.

If some of you feel it is okay for the Americans to force their justice and beliefs on other countries don't complain when the US goes belly up and outside investors start running the United States.

First of all, Bush was given bad information from his advisors about the war in Iraq. Blame them, not him.

Second, Congress voted to go to war with Iraq.

Third, if we left after we didn't find and WMD's, the country would be in turmoil and turn their anger towards us.

You say you feel sorry for all the parents of the soldiers. Well, I do to. We should try to end this war as quickly as possible. But you know who i feel MORE sorry for? THe families of the victims of 9/11. If we leave Iraq now, it will happen all over again. Would you want to explain to THOSE parents why their children are dead?

At least you can tell the soldier's parents' "your son died defending our country." If we leave Iraq, and there is another terrorist attack, what will you tell those parents? "We didn't like the war, so we left. That is why your son is dead"

Right or wrong, we CANNOT leave Iraq until the country is stable.

WMD was only 1 of MANY reasons. It would be nice if people like you paid attention when the President spoke. He clearly stated that Iraq was one of the 3 members of the Axis of Evil. This is the primary reason we went in.

The results? Now we only have 2 members of the Axis of Evil (Iran and NK) that have or are close to WMD instead of 3. So yes, I support his policy. Sure there have been some mistakes, but there is in every war. The overall plan of getting rid of the Axis of Evil and changing the culture of the Middle East is good policy, if you care about American lives.

I do. Despite idiots who can't spell and know little, if any, grammar saying otherwise. Not to mention that they know nothing about what they're talking about 7/8ths of the time.

When we went over there, what we were doing was essentially giving them democracy. Frankly, they needed it. Even if there were no WMDs, at least we got Saddam out. That was the biggest problem. That is much better than going over there to spread democracy and get out Saddam, but ended up confiscating WMDs and leaving.

Well, at least Bush has one supporter.

There were WMD's and Saddam was a threat to the US so for those reasons I did and do support going to Iraq. I don't agree with the troop levels (too low) and timing of the Iraq war. IMO Bush, the senate and the house of reps. should have waited a little longer after Afghanistan began and they should have went in unannounced in order to prevent the hiding of the WMD's. I mention the House and Senate because it took them along with the pres to declare war. People seem to overlook the fact that the Iraq war was passed by majority vote.

Yes. The alternative is to leave the dirt to the Taliban and al Qaeda, with free license to hatch more nasty plots against the US. It is disgustingly easy to build an atomic bomb if you can lay your hands on thirty pounds of U-235 (I designed a workable one when I was in seventh grade), and there is a lot of it around.

No, I do not support Bush. He lied to the American people about Iraq, and seem to have absolutely no plan to get out.

NO, but I never supported him in the first place. I'm married to a Nam vet, my brothers all served also. My niece just joined the Air Force so we are not anti- military, just anti -stupidity. The only reason we are there is for Bush's cronies to get richer. Look who is making money off this war. Your children and mine are expendable, notice that there's are not.
