It has to be a paste and it can't be whitening, tartar control, gel, 12 or 24 hours protection...Just a plain white, cheap toothpaste.
In addition...the reason that lady on Tyra's show said it didnt work and would make problems worse or cause more acne is because she said "the ones with all the stuff added, whitening, gel, tartar control, etc". The reason is does work is because the chemicals in the toothpaste help draw the bacteria up from your skin, making a whitehead form so you can pop the pimple. But it has to be PLAIN WHITE TOOTHPASTE...nothing more.

none of them actually. Allure magzine debunked that myth last week on tyra banks show. They contain too many ingredients for things like whitening and tarter control. You are better of crushing up an aspirin making a paste with water and putting that on your zit. The salsylic acid will help the blemish.

Toothpaste doesn't really work, it may even make the problem worse!!! Tyra Banks had a Dermy on her show and they covered myths and the toothpaste on the zit was discussed. The Dermy said that that was a myth and didn't work and it sometimes makes the problem worse.
