Why do people come on this topic only to be harsh?

I mean coming on here to mess around is funny sometimes. But these people are really just 13 year olds thinking it's okay to say horrible things so they can laugh. They wouldn't dare start calling people racial slurs because even they wouldn't go that far. It's okay to call us names because they can't pick on any other group. Why can't they just grow up? Why do these people have to be so horrible? Nothing on here can be taken seriously but too far is too far. Thoughts?

A good example would be the first poster.

Well having read so many of these hate and gay bashing questions over the last few months on here i have come to several conclusions as to who these people are and why they do this.

1..There kids that aren't too bright and really don't know enough about anything to answer or ask a question with any confidence.
2..Gay haters and homophobic people who are so scared of there own sexuality they just cant face it so they set out to distance themselves from gays by having a sad little bash on a free question site.
3..God botherers that really cant be happy with there own faith (or who don't really believe anymore) and are terrified that someone may be enjoying life better.
4..Sad or jealous people that are so desperately lonely and unfulfilled in their lives that this may be their only form of communication,a lot don't answer any questions but just post hate and then sit back and watch the reactions.
One way or the other they seem to have been left behind on life's journey and bitterly resent that so they roll their disappointment and frustration into a bitter little ball and post some vile hate on this site.I suppose we shouldn't mind too much because if they didn't have this outlet they may have to open a vein to deal with the sadness and disappointments in their lives.

Either way its so sad to watch,the poor attempts at wit and the desperate lengths they will go to,to get attention.
To respond to them just drives them into a frenzy of activity i suppose it make them feel that they matter to someone rather than just sitting alone and unwanted in front of there monitors because no one wants them or is too interested in them,its very very sad really.

So to all of the above if posting hate makes you feel alive go ahead it matters to no one really,and on here your safe to do it because no big bad gay can actually reach you.
Your like a little fluffy dog behind a screen door on the porch barking and snapping because you have a nice screen door protecting you.Hate all you like gay people are here to stay and there is nothing you or your hate postings can do to change that!

So go on vent till your eyes bleed no one cares.

The EU opened its borders again in 1992 and there is a trickle of men and women again and fore among international locations like Holland, France, Italy, UK and many others and many others ever considering. Because those international locations have a an identical wealth stage there was once certainly not a trouble, the gigantic waves of fiscal migrants onlty began while deficient international locations had been allowed in.

I agree that some people here are rather vicious in their postings. And I've seen a number of questions and answers deleted by the administrators because they were so grossly offensive.

Why they do it, I don't know... maybe they're just mean and/or petty people with to much time on their hands.

Its unfortunate, but there are a lot of hateful people out there, and if they can't express it in person, they go to news groups and spew their vitriol there.

Sucks - but fourth amendment gives them the right to say whatever idiotic things they want to say...

Alot of people can't help being the way they are. Some people are dumb, stupid and ignorant and they have nothing better to do. They need to get a life and stop making fun of different people. They wouldn't like it if it happened to them.It's happened to me a few times and that is part of the reason that I don't ask questions that much. I can't stand some of the answers I get back. It sometimes hurts.

There are many controversial topics surrounding this subject--whether or not it is moral or God accepts it, whether or not it is genetic or chosen, and s.s. marriage. Controversial topics always spark a lot of debate. And everybody has their personal opinions. They view much of this content as subjective and feel the need to voice what they believe.
The people that are immature, rude, or ignorant would not only be that way in this section of Answers, but on any other section, as that is their personality. A flaw at that.

Because people are ignorant and have nothing better to do but try to put something or someone else down that they don't understand or disagree with. It's been the way of the human being for centuries ranging from the treatment of women, racism, religion and beyond.

I agree that it sucks that people come to this section to be hateful and rude. Bottom line is if you don't like the life that homosexuals lead, that's fine, but being a jerk to others is of no use...there's enough hate in this world...

No...I'm not gay (because i'm sure some smartass reading this is either going to write that OR is thinking it)...

The very reason you say that insults based on race are somehow worst than those based on sexual preferences just shows that in your (and probbably their) society gay rights are not yet on a very high level. People are born as members of a particular race, and people are born gay so shouldn't this than be the same for both of this groups.
Only when we widely accept homosexuallity as something normal and usual as we (allegedly) accepted different races there will be no more excesses like those you mentioned...

I think some people say things on answers that they would never say to anyone face to face, so they feel free to say hurtful and nasty things. It's just human nature, I guess, it takes all kinds to make a world and we're seeing some of the worst here. I should add though, their are lots and lots of really great people on answers also.

These people who are harsh on here just were never taught right by their parents its true they dont take stuff seriously but what ya gonna do? they wont change they take your personal stuff that you ask on here and turn it into funny c r a p so they can take a laugh i agree but they wont change so we( the ones who actually take thing seriously) just have to deal, and hope that someone that actually wont be stupid and harsh will come along and answer a question the right way.

First: i think you should specify- what sexual minority do you belong to ( Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgendered)?
Second: people make fun and are mean about things that are socially unaccepted. It's the truth.
As long as you are a minority, you will be made fun of... sorry.
It's kind of a "bully" thing...
I could only imagine, how hurt you can be, and how difficult it is to deal with crap day-in-day-out on ALL sevels,and i'm in no position to say this (but since you asked) .... try not to let it bother you.... as i said, it's tough, but... you don't have a choice.
