Part of your title has to do with what exactly it is you are doing about the subject of fairies. If you are examing the stories only, if you are comparing myths to historical facts, or simply discussing the evolution of the creature from past to present, each changes the content of the title. Since I don't know any more, I can only give vague suggestions.

"Little Wings of Legends: An Exploration of the Myths, Stories and Facts about Fairies"

"Tinkerbell and Beyond: An Exploration... (etc) "

"Listening to the Wind: An Exploration... (etc)", although that might be more appropriate for a Native American study.

"Snowflake Ladies and Bumblebee Gentlemen: An Exploration.... (etc)."
