If you counted on your friend, and they went behind your back, then they're not really your friends. The only way I could see it being acceptable is if you were doing harm to yourself and they went and told someone when you told them not to. I would think they care too much about you to see you hurt yourself. But other than that. I wouldn't be able to trust them anymore.
