As others have said, Mexico's official language is Spanish. To find out specifically about Spanish spoken in Mexico, look for books that talk about Latin American Spanish, or about Spanish regional differences in general. Books about Spanish slang are a pretty good resource, too.

If you speak some Spanish and you're thinking to try it out in Mexico, checking up on Mexican slang is a very good idea. There are quite a number of phrases which are perfectly proper in one region/country but which mean something naughty in Mexico. For instance, if you go out for breakfast in Mexico and you want eggs, it would be safer to order "blanquillos" than "huevos" ... especially from a male waiter. Be forewarned!

And, have fun. :-)

Well honey, they speak spanish. What else do you need to know??? Most of the people, unless you get out of the resorts areas, speak English and a variety of other languages.
