well just go with one character. like cinderella. have it start as you are a slave to your three horrible step sisters. Now the game can be like a chase, at first one sister is chasing after you, then two then farther into the game all three are after you.
You base the game along the storyline, 1.she meets a nice guy and wants to get to the party -thus stage one is where she has the fairy do her magic and she is free for the moment 2.stage two can be her trip from her home to the party 3.getting back home(this will be a different route) before either time runs or sisters catch up to her.

Make trivia questions that the class has to answer in order for the player to advance a certain number of spaces. For example, you could get a dice and say that odd numbers get a 1 card (easy) and even numbers get a 2 card (more challenging questions). They pick up that card and on it there's a question such as "Name two words to describe this place..." You could also make these questions true or false and multiple choice. Or use all three to mix it up. If the person got a 1 card correct, the could move forward one space. And if they got a 2 card correct, they could move forward two spaces. Obviously, the first person to reach the finish line wins. Good luck!!!!

Been there. Done that. Lord of the Rings by Fantasy Flight, Dune by Avalon Hill, Dragonriders of Pern by Mayfair Games and Darkover by Eon Games are a few of the titles that were available in the genre of game you are working on. Take a look at these games and pick and choose for the ideas they have used.

You can try Monsterhearts, Its a modern fantasy/horror game about monsters in high school. Sort of World of Darkness in feel, but uses a different rule set and meta-story.

Alice in Wonderland is a good one. You can start at the house she went in where she got large and then small. You can end it at home. Instead of jail you can go see the Red Queen. There are many things in Wonderland. Pattern it after monopoly. I know you could make it work!
