I thought that on top of being a comic-book movie that actually follows the comic, the sentiment of the comic was closely followed and made for a fantastically campy bit of film noir. Perhaps I am partial since I am a fan of Frank Miller and Robert Rodriguez and his usual crew of actors (not to mention Quentin Tarantino who directed a few scenes and is good friends with Rodriguez!). I even read that there was no actual screenplay other than the comic itself!

Beyond that, I love the sense of justice the film conveyed, with the exception of what happened to Hardigan (Bruce Willis' character).

I believe there's going to be (or already is) a director's cut, with some intercut scenes which will help to make it hang together better than it already does (and I thought it was cool as is). That will be worth watching ... especially if there are more scenes with Jessica Alba!

I love that movie. I notice something different every time I watch it. I love how most of it is in black and white. It freaked me out the 1st time I watched it and realized that the little girl was Jessica's character as a child!

I felt conflicted, part of me thought that movie was the most over hyped piece of Hollywood junk I had ever seen, then part of me liked it becuase it was different, beautifully shot and interesting. In the end, the part of me that thought it was interesting won. So, now I like Sin City and I really want to see the second part.

I'll be honest on this. The only reason I saw the movie was for Jessica Alba (I swear). She's hot!!!

Fat movie mate! It was wicked! But, I figure........ What would the movie be like if it was in colour? Not that I'm criticising the black and white effects! They were beautiful! I've got it on DVD any way! I sure am going to watch that movie tonight! And oh............ I can't wait for the sequel!

yes, it was good, but if you`re a fan of Rodrigues or Tarantino, you might be quite upset... I was expecting something a bit else and more humor. However, I`m also looking forward Sin City II.

I think the photography and direction are great!I loved the black and white theme and the red on the girl's dress!Although I don't like violence in movies I recommend it for sure!
