Boise State is not a top level team and if you look through their schedule, you will find that they 've been playing with not-very-difficult-team-to-play teams.
I understand your point as well, I think teams should be given chance to play each others as well.
But Florida, ND, Ohio State, USC, Texas are top class teams and when two top class teams play, one of those have to lose, right? That why you see even Florida and Michigan have one loss in their pocket.
I hope that make the things clear. If you watch Boise State game, to be played in first week of Jan, you will see the difference.
Take Care!

Yes, it's unfair. For the record, I am a huge OSU Buckeyes fan, but this BCS nonsense has got to go.
Time for an 8 team playoff. Drop the conference tie-ins, and make it a selection setup like basketball. You could still keep all the "minor bowls" as well.
It seems like there would be even more money in this, so I don't get what the hold up is. But, don't you think that teams like USC, Boise State, Louisville still deserve a chance to fight for the title?

Part of the BCS system is strength of schedule. The Boise State Broncos play in a weak Conference (Western Athletic Conference).
Many teams who lost only 1 or 2 games in stronger conferences could have easily gone undefeated in the WAC. Boise States a good team, don't get me wrong. But they don't have the same talent as the Big Ten or SEC schools do.

Well, it's unfair if you believe that all college football teams are equal.
Too bad for you, they're not. You can't compare going undefeated in a conference as weak as the WAC with going undefeated or getting one loss in a BCS conference.
Sorry, but Boise State doesn't deserve a shot at the national title, especially when your schedule consists of Sacramento State, Oregon State, Wyoming, Hawaii, Utah, Louisiana Tech, New Mexico State, Idaho, Fresno State, San Jose State, Utah State, and Nevada. Sagarin had BSU's schedule as the 100th toughest in the country, while the team they're playing in the Fiesta Bowl, Oklahoma, had the 33rd toughest.

The BCS for football is very similar to the selection committee for the NCAA Divison 1 basketball tournament. They will take a team with one loss in a strong confrence or a strong schedule over a team undefeated in a weak confrence. That is why a team like Florida gets the nod against Ohio State instead of Boise who got lucky to get a game against Oklahoma. And do you really think they have a shot against powerhouse teams like Michigan or Ohio State

If Boise State played in the SEC they would have a loosing conference record. A good high school team could hang with most of the teams in the WAC. If Boise wants to cry about not getting respect, than they need to join a BCS conference. The PAC-10 could add them and have a conference championship. It takes more than beating up one bad teams and playing on a blue field to make you a championship contender.

boise state. i havent seen tcu play a official team. yeah, theyve performed baylor and utah. how stable are they? besides the very undeniable fact that utah does have a solid offense. boise performed v tech and beside that little scuffle, theyve won 7 immediately and are ranked between the utmost offenses in college soccer (averaging over 30 ppg). and that they beat oregon state. ought to they beat oregon (who looks great on offense, yet has an ok d), then that purely proves they beat yet another good notch team. tcu, who human beings think of are so stable extremely havent performed all people until the stunning seconds. plus, as properly the two video games, have you ever seen boise play 2 halves of soccer? they could have butt raped communities like l. a. tech even greater advantageous than they did. and for the checklist, boise beat tcu final year and that i think of that tcu is even worse than final year. they lost to boise, yet lost 2 1st around alternatives and 6 starters from final year usual. boise lower back 20 starters and a heisman qb. boise woud win in my techniques, 35-27.

boise state is not top level competition theyd get destroyed by any big conference team. u put florida and ohio state against boise states usual competition and they might lose a game or two out of hundreds if the qb is too hung over or coked out. its that simple. the BCS is a good systme.

Boise State, like all mid-majors who go undefeated deserve a chance to compete in a playoff system!
I hope they make a statement and prove a lot of people wrong.
