OMG. I forgot all about this company. I was once suckered in for a while.
Basically it's a door to door sales job where you sale knifes and stuff. You have to get people to sign up with you and then you try to sell them knives. Then you have to get referrals to find more people to sell to.
So, say you sell to your Mom. Then you ask her for some names and numbers of people that might be interested. Then she gives you the info and you go talk to those people who then refer you to more people.
It's dangerous because after a while you're selling to people you don't know. It's also annoying because if people want to buy they'll come to you...not the other way around.
I was hired and then the day of the meet and greet thing I was like forget it. And I never worked a day.
I don't like the idea of being a door to door salesperson, especially for knives...boo.

I am not involved with Cutco but I have positive things to say about it.
I bought Cutco from a woman who is doing really well with it. It is in the category of work called "Direct Sales" which is part of a bigger industry that is creating over onehundredtwentybillion (that's over 120 billion) dollars and growing.
Your efforts and professionalism will determine your success with a company like Vector/Cutco. Please talk to the people who are successful at it and don't take advice from people who have never succeeded with that kind of business as they are trying to protect you and be well meaning... but with a little probing into why they didn't succeed, you will find it was "them" and not the industry which works.
You may be one of those people who are trainable and treat it professionaly and make people feel that they are being served with a smile. It's all about your attitude and your willingness to serve others and develop very good listening skills.
Hope this helps.

Dont waste your time. You have to go door to door and bug the crap out of people. Most of the time people wont buy it & then when they do, the company makes the money. It will take a lot of your time, and you will have to be fake because the product isnt that great.
