My dad just changes the back brake pads on my moms 2000 chev. blazer and now the she says the wheel shakes and the brakes are about locked up...when my dad and i looked at them they were hot from th pressure, should we change the calibors or what?

Your dad reinstalled the brake calipers wrong and they're binding, or when he forced the calipers to open up for the new pads he drove the corroded part of the pistons into the cylinders and they're sticking.

On vehicles with 4 wheel disc brakes the rear caliper pistons have a ratcheting mechanism for the emergency brake that automatically screws the piston out to compensate for pad wear. When replacing rear brake pads, you need to use a special tool that screws the piston back into the caliper. If you did not use this tool to screw the piston in, then it's the same as driving around with the emergency brakes on all the time.

It amazes me that someone would suggest you need a master cylinder, if so, you would have noticed the problem prior to replacing the rear pads. If the problem just occurred after changing the pads, then that's gotta be the problem!!! Usually a master cylinder failure would result in low or no pressure.

I'd be more inclined to think there's a problem with the brake master cylinder not releasing the pressure in the brake lines when you take your foot off the brake pedal.

Easy test:

After pressing, then releasing the brake pedal, open one of the brake bleeders on a brake cylinder.
If there is still holds pressure, and it squirts out a little bit, then you need a new Master Cylinder

Make sure the pads are in correctly IE pad material against rotor not the metal backing plate (I have seen it done, believe me)

cut thr rear rotors first and check to see if the rear calipers are not locking up
