My dad just changes the back brake pads on my moms 2000 chev. blazer and now the she says the wheel shakes and the brakes are about locked up...when my dad and i looked at them they were hot from th pressure, should we change the calibors or what?

Doesn't make sense that any work done to the rear brakes would make the steering wheel shake. And as far as the brakes being hot, this is typical for disc brakes, they are always in contact with the rotor, even when the brake pedal is not pushed. I would suggest you drive it yourself to get a more accurate diagnosis of the problems.

I'd be more inclined to think there's a problem with the brake master cylinder not releasing the pressure in the brake lines when you take your foot off the brake pedal.

Easy test:

After pressing, then releasing the brake pedal, open one of the brake bleeders on a brake cylinder.
If there is still holds pressure, and it squirts out a little bit, then you need a new Master Cylinder
