I found a 1944 Winged Liberty Dime in the bathroom of my school, and my bio teacher says he'll buy it off me for a buck, but I saw this lady on the internet asking $105 for it. And on eBay the price goes up to $79.99. So what do I do? How much can I sell it for?

It has 70 to 80 cents worth of silver in it. Depends on what silver is going for at the moment. If it is in well worn condition sell it to the teacher. If the diagonal bands in the fasces ( that is the name of the thing standing up on the reverse of the coin) show only a trace of wear and all other lines are sharp you can get more for it, but not to much more. It is far from rare, they struck 231,410,000 of them. EBay is a place to stay away from unless you know what you are doing and really know your coins, plus know how to grade them. The coin is so common, there is not even a dealer price listed.

The value of the coin depends on the condition of the coin and whether it is a "Full Band" or not. If the coin has seen circulation, which I suspicion is has since you found it in the school bathroom it is worth only a couple of bucks at most retail. What your teacher offered you was probably his best guess at the fair value and he was pretty close.

for sure, dont give it to ur bio teacher. he's cheap. and unless u want to keep it, i sugesst u sell it for the highest possible price that doesnt make other ppl think ur a greedy person but not too low that ppl cheat it off you. i'd go with the 105 if you cant find another price someone would buy it for. look around first b4 u make a decision
