If you need to ask that question here, you must be a evangelical, right-wing, conservative Republican. The benefits of the UN are too many to explain to you on this website. Go the a Un website and start learning. Don't listen to all the right-wing propaganda that is being spewed forth by a lot of the people who think they intelligently answered your question by spreading hate and fear of the UN. You have to remember the UN does a lot more than just support unnecessary wars.

We benefit by being one of only five countries who have veto power over UN resolutions. Considering that there are 192 countries in the UN, that's quite a powerful position to be in. Would you really like to leave the UN and have the top countries with veto power be Russia, France, China and leave the UK dangling like a sacrifice ready for the slaughter? Not me. If the UN has become ineffective, and I believe it has, then it rests with the powers, of which we are one, to correct the problem. Cut and run anyone?

We all benefit, the whole world. It doesn't keep the wars from happening, which may in impossible, but it DOES keep the wars alot smaller by recognizing problems before they start or get serious.

Absolutely nothing. I do how-ever, have a solution for that cess pool of human crap. Strap an Atlas Rocket on each corner of the UN, push the ignition button and launch it to Iran,Syria,England,Germany,Canada,California, Mass..Fill in your favorite Liberal Hot Spot....Way I figure it, put the proper amount of fuel in the rocket and pieces of the UN will cover the Liberal B******s that support it.

We can support the most corrupt organization in modern times.
But, its politics. If we don't then it just gives the socialist in the world more time to point their bony fingers at us and whine that we don't love the world like they do.

Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer. That's the only benefit I can see, we can keep an eye on our enemies.
