How to rid the world of Islamic Terrorism?

Islamic Terrorists are the greatest threat in the world today. I could list many reasons, like brainwashing children to commit suicide and kill as many innocent people as possible in the process, but you all know it's true, so we really don't need a list. How do we eliminate that threat? Probably impossible to eliminate, but how to reduce it as much as possible? You can't reason with them. How do you stop their youth from wanting to follow in their footsteps?

Not a single good answer.
First of all – the Jewish people ruled that land long before the ‘Palestinians’. And yes, the Israeli/Palestinian land issue is a problem. One that could have easily been solved if the Palestinians would negotiate reasonably, or if the surrounding Arab states were reasonable.

But more importantly, and more to the question, the root cause of terrorism (deliberately targeting innocent civilians in order to terrorize people) is not simply a land conflict. The root cause is a totalitarian ideology that teaches hate and teaches that all moral restraints can be bypassed for it’s cause. That teaches that it is GOOD to blow up a bus full of children. This ideology is unique to Muslims. So yes, it IS proper to call it “Islamic” terrorism. No, not all Muslims are terrorists. There are many good Muslims. But 99% of terrorists are Muslim. If you refuse to correctly identify a problem, you have no hope of solving it.

Oppressive totalitarian Islamic regimes that harbor terrorists ferment terrorism. People who have freedom and an education are far less likely to be brainwashed by such hateful ideology. Which is why we have so many GOOD and PEACEFUL Muslims living in the United States. I’m not saying that NO free and educated person could be brainwashed, I’m just saying it’s a lot less likely.

And if you give a dog a bone BECAUSE he bit you, he will learn that biting you gets him what he wants. And this dog wants a lot more than just some land. These hateful Islamic Nazi’s want the entire world under their law. They kill a nun in cold blood because they are offended by what the pope says. They riot because of cartoons. They hate freedom because freedom means people are free to disagree with them.

AND the BS about America being a bigger threat is a joke. America has done more good for the world than any other country. See WWI and WWII. See the incredible generosity the American people pour out every day to the rest of the world. That generosity made possible by the freedoms we have, and by the opportunities provided by our capitalism.

And Nancy, I really understand where you are coming from. I support the war because I think spreading freedom and democracy is the only way to eventually seriously reduce the threat of global terrorism – a very serious threat. Can you imagine a world where there are no totalitarian regimes? Where every country is free and democratic? Every person in the world free from oppression? Everyone with an opportunity? Pie in the sky, maybe, but something to work towards. But we have to seriously consider the cost and if we can actual accomplish anything more in Iraq (a lot has been accomplished). And we also have to consider the cost of letting it go.

Ignore them. If you keep giving into their demands (IE giving them back Israel) then they will continue their terrorist activities because it is getting them what they want.

They are like a bunch of children throwing tantrums...if you ignore them long enough they will eventually get the clue that their plan just doesn't work.


Oh and a side Note...ummm did The founding fathers of the U.S. give America back to the Indians, did China give back Tibet, did Russian give back Mongolia or did the French give back the South Pacific Islands????

A lot of questions and little or no answers.

We will never "eliminate" that threat. And, we lovely Americans are just as much of, if not more of, a threat to everyone else. We have nukes - why should anyone else in the world believe we won't use them? Read ur uncut history facts...especially ever since the Cold War ended we have covertly been taking over, and over, and over....it ain't just Israel vs. Palestine folks. Our own gov't is why we innocent Americans can't even trust traveling internationally - everyone hates us bcuz we supposedly have a democratic gov't in place and the douchebag we supposedly voted for is making some serious mistakes on behalf of and in the names of the American ppl. Reducing it is only possible if we toss out the whole "capitalist" way of life we call "American" and actually delve into "democracy". Let's get the f out of all the countries we have military bases in just so we can watch these countries...there's a start. And stop calling it "Islamic Terrorism". There are many Muslims living here in our country now, having been chased from their homelands, and I haven't met one terrorist. Again, go back into American History and get the real facts. I don't see anyone crying over our defeat of the Indians and our theft of their lives, liberties and happiness?! The world is tired of us calling in the F-16's whenever someone doesn't do what we tell them to do. OUR AMERICAN GOV'T PUT IN POWER the likes of Saddam Hussein & the Taliban gov'ts. And u ask how we can stop "Islamic" terrorism?

Their youth are not necessarily following in any footsteps per se, by choice. Much like they use women, esp pregnant women as decoys for suicide bombs...these women didn't get an option. You can't start at the end of the line and work ur way up to solve the problem of terrorism bcuz then it's too late. Has to start here at home. I support our troops but not our gov't. Time to start pulling out.

I agree completely with jons_plan. The main source of the Muslim discontent against the United States is its unwavering support for Israel. The US gives Israel billions of dollars a year, and to do what? So that they can continue to massacre the Palestinians on what is rightfully their land.

Return the land to the Palestinians, and all the extremist hatred against the US will dissipate.

Give Israel back to the Palestinians from whom it was forcibly taken, while the residents who were forced out were also forced to live in substandard conditions. This is why muslims hate people who support Israel.

don't really think there is a right answer for this but one of the things we need to do is get our troops out and let them fight each other like they have always. when you can't really help and they don't want our help then just get our boys out and they can continue doing what they have done for years and that is to fight each other. we have no right getting into a war that has been going on for years.when they tell us they don't want us then why send our boys over just to bring them back in a bag. just let them do what they have been doing.please just think of our guys.there is no winning in this war. we need to get our guys out.they are already in there owne cival war, why are we there?just let them finish what they have started and bring our guys home.please
