cupid is a greek myth and he does not exist....in my opinion anyway. Its just a child's story

Good question. Cupid was the son of Venus (In case you don't know, she was the goddess of love) in Roman mythology. Cupid was a skilled archer and his arrows contained a potion that made people fall in love. I guess you could say he was the ancient Roman matchmaker. Today there is no religion that worships Cupid as a god, but some people like to think he hovers over the humans, setting up couples.

Cupid is the son of Venus. Often, he is show as a child, as a cherub or putto. However, in mythology he grew up to become an adult and even got married. Like his mother, Cupid is a love God for ancient Romans. (Eros is the Greek name, and his mother's Greek name is Aphrodite.)

In greek (and Roman for that matter) Eros (greek name) or Cupid (Roman name) is the son of Aphorditie/Venus and Hephestus/Vulcan he was the God who was "crippled"
Whether or not you think Cupid is real is entirely up to you.

Cupid is real and can be scene in various movies and tv commercials. I believe cupid was last in a commercial for a perfume for Britney Spears.
