Yes its true. He's a morning DJ on a Reading, Pennsylvania, hip-hop radio station.
Can you think of anyother people you've heard of that the stereotype just took a giant leap in the opposite direction?

Some people aren't getting my astonishment... the fact that hes black and a jew is odd, and that he's black and republican is odd,.... don't know about jews in politics, whether they go to one side or the other but its not an everyday thing to be all three.

Religious Jews tend to swing towards the Republican party for its stance on moral issues. Non practicing Jews tend to swing towards the Democratic party for its social justice issues. Of course those are VERY broad generalities!
As far as skin tone, there are Jews in almost every nationality, and not just white European Jews who settled somewhere else. For instance the Falash, the black Jews of Ethiopia. One of the largest communities of Jews outside of Israel and the US is in Brazil, and that's a community of 10,000 plus! There are Jews in India who are currently immigrating to Israel in large numbers. We are literally all over the world. However, most of the Jews in the US immigrated from Europe. People are most familiar with the white European Yiddish speaking Jew while in reality, Jews come in all colors and all languages.
I can understand the atonishment though. It's totally unexpected.

So what is the big deal? That he is black... or Jewish ... or a Republican. Altho, I do think the republican part is iffy... the rest.. who cares. he is a human being of a certain colour religion and political leanings.. how is that so odd?

It's not political, but I always thought John Stockton was pretty stereotype breaking. Especially toward the end of his career. He was an old, short, white, NBA player, and he was good!
Also, I always poke fun at one of my friends for being a gay Catholic Republican.
