I always see so many homework questions posted here. I could maybe understand asking for hints, but everyone just wants the exact answers. How do you expect to learn anything if you don't think for yourselves? Most of these questions only require a little tiny bit of effort to answer. In the long run you'll feel good about yourselves if you can do your own work.

I'm a freshman in high school, and I do my own work.
When I'm having a bad day, I'll ask for help, but on normal days, I'm pretty much independent.

F.Y.I: I'm making straight A's.

Truthfully, I don't think I ever really thought much for myself during high school, it was just doing what the teacher said and the minimum amount of work required to do ok. In college that started to change as I got more interested in the material, the upper level classes were the best because I chose to take that class and learn that stuff. Not like the into to whatever courses you take freshman year beacuse you have to.
And then I graduated and spent 2 years working and decided to come back to grad school. And now I read and listen and do everything because I want to learn.
It is sort of depressing, thinking about high school. If we could some how make the subjects more interesting for kids.......... then they might want to learn. And then they'd read. And pay attention in class. But I don't know, that might take revamping the entire American school system........!!

If someone doesn't know the answer, they should FIGURE IT OUT. As for me, my teachers are so ill-qualified that i have to teach myself out of the book. (and i get A's. school is so pointless; just give me the book.) [not to sound arrogant-I'm just dissing the public school system]
