I nominated a friend of mine for a contest to win a $25k scholarship. some of my other friends don't really like him and think that if he wins his ego will be too big. Should I want him to win?

the kid i nominated i have known since i was in 3rd grade and now i am in 11th.
the other kids i have known for 3 years.

The nomination was a fluke. I originally wrote it and wasn't going to send it in. One of the people in my family sent it in expecting that i was going to and just didn't have a chance.

Well, if he's really your friend, you should be happy for him no matter what he does.
Forget about what everyone else thinks. If you want him to win, let them know.
Just be ready to hear him gloat. Although he will thank you for entering him in the contest in the first place.

wel if you nominated him doesnt that mean you want him to win? if he is your friend and you nominated him then dont worry about what your other friends say. those are the type of people that after school you wont ever talk to jst bevause they can be shllow like that. good luck to your friend. that sounds like a great opportunity!

If you like him, who cares what your friends think. If his ego gets too big because of it and he starts being a jerk to you, just remind him not to bite the hand that fed him.
