should those that dropped the ball for something so crucial be immediately fired and held accountable?????

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzWB8jCR1ZI&NR
Keith Olberman (msNBC Reportrer) on Bush pre 9/11

Im pretty outraged at the Lies Im seen that are coming from Bush Rice and Chenney that only show an extremely terrible display of our leadership failing to take responsiblity for its actions, and blatantly lying about their failure to act.

Whats your opinion after looking at the video?
Does it make you mad, and should these people be held accountable for their lies???

Part II -- What would be your punishment for them if any, 50 word or less

========== And for bush supporters, can you even argue with all this that is actually news and documented?
Not from some independant movie maker whom you could argue is just trying to profit by smearing Bush but public record memos and hearings AND from a reputable journalist

Ive just wasted a day off probing around YouTube, and find it fascinating some of the stuff out there.

Keith Olberman is turning into someone worth watching.
And check out the Outfoxed video series. Its pretty interesting. As eye opening as the Walmart Documentary I watched a few weeks ago.

Makes one want to get up and take action, wich we should all do when we come across such utter abuses of power.
Sorry, my rant for this day

It's very complex.

Bush and Cheney and Rice alone are not responsible. Neither is Clinton. A lot of these people share the burden.

The basic problem was that we indulged in a false sense of security. We smugly thought no one would DARE to attack the U.S. A big part of that confidence came from the fact that we have always had faith that our ability to "hit back" was so devastating that everyone was terrified and would never even try to attack us because we'd smear them.

Problem is, we never really took the little guys seriously. The people who don't represent a country. The people who have NOTHING to lose and NOTHING we can attack. When there is no state to declare war on, suddenly we don't have the advantage of intimidation anymore.

That's factor one.

Factor two is, we have always had a policy of basically doing whatever we felt was in the best short/medium term security and economic interest of the United States. Everyone else be damned. Basically, if keeping a dictator in YOUR country is good for the U.S. because it keeps things "stable" and ensures the flow of something WE need then we are all for it. For all the talk about how we want to promote freedom around the world, you have to wonder---- Why were we not excited about promoting freedom in the 1980s when we were supporting Saddam with cash and weapons while he was killing his own people? Well because THEN he was fighting Iran. We felt Iran was the worse of two evils and we were more interested in HURTING IRAN then we were in HELPING IRAQ.

Same thing with Saudi Arabia. Sure, we are anti-terrorist and pro-democracy, yet the home of most of the 9/11 terrorists and a corrupt dictatorship with some of the most extreme of the extremists around---- they are our "allies" and our "good friends"? OK...

Ask questions. It's not patriotic to accept what you are told and keep you head in the sand.

So SHORT ANSWER: Maybe we could have stopped 9/11 but it would have taken a lot more than just "better intelligence" What lead up to 9/11 wasn't bad intelligence. It was decades of selfish, greedy, misguided, egotistical foreign policies with a big spoonful of "bad intelligence" on top just to make it complete.

If we did not interfere recklessly in every other country's affairs, prop up dictators and act like complete hypocrites we wouldn't need the CIA and the NSA to wiretap every phone in the world to predict 9/11 because we wouldn't have half the planet wanting to kill us.

Think about it

What the hell does evolution ought to do with combating 9/11? in case you knew something approximately what you have been talking approximately you are able to understand that 911 would have been prevented however the cia dropped the ball and did no longer bypass on information. There...nonetheless no information that god exists

We don't have to fire them.they're out of office.have been since 2000.Bush was in office for 8 months,Clinton for 8 years. The plot was hatched well before Bush was in office.Clinton's people put up the roadblocks between agencies.Iraq is all on Bush.9/11 sorry he doesn't deserve the blame on that one.Not most of it anyway.

OLBERMAN????OLBERMAN???? Yeah, he's the voice of reason and bi-partisanship. NOT!!!!

Bush was only in office for 8 months on 9/11. There was little he could do. He had to start cleaning up 8 years of military cuts, inteligence warnings, 8 years of an administration who ignored and failed to aknowledge the treats and attacks from groups like Al Quaeda. Not to mention the flounerding economy, the ridicule having a president getting his wang sucked in office had caused, and address tax cuts, and social security.

Newsflash, NO ONE KNEW THEY'D HIJACK PLANES AND FLY THEM INTO BUILDINGS.
