1. Understand that all varibles by themselves have an understood 1. (For example, w= 1w.....p= 1p.....t= 1t....). So you can change your problem to read 2w + 1w = ?
2w + 1w = ?
2. Combine like terms. 2w and 1w are like terms. They both have the "w" varible. When combining varibles, you add the numbers ( 2 and 1), and keep the varible. So your probablem should be like 2w + 1w = 3w
3. 2w + 1w = 3w (You answer)
( 2 ) 2w X 3 =
1. Your simply mulitplying the 2w. Think of it 2w + 2w + 2w which would equal 6w. You do not do 6www. The easiest way to think of it is just multiply the 3 times the 2. That's how you can easily get your 6.
2. 2w X 3 = 6w

Think of it this way, when you see 2w, that means you have 2 W's. So 2w + w, means 2 W's plus another W, which would give you 3 W's. Algebraically, you'd write that as 3w.
To multiply 2w by 3, you'd simply multiply the 2 numbers, 2 times 3, which would give you 6. Then add your W at the end to give you a final answer of 6w.

2w+w= 3w since oyu have like terms (variable w) then you just add the numbers in front of them (imagine a 1 infront of the w) so you get 3w
2w x 3=6w all you have to do is multiply 6 and 2 and attach the w because its like saying 2 x w x 3 and you can do multiplication in any order so you multiply 2 and 3 then you multiply by w but because you can't really multiply it (b/c its not a number) you just attach it

at the same time as the co-efficient of a variable is the same and between the variables is detrimental and the different is helpful (+3y and -3y), you may combine both equations, so 2x plus x is 3x and six plus 12 is eighteen....... so 3x = 18. divide both area with the help of three and also you get X = 6. then use this quantity and plug it into the first equation to get y, so 6 - 3y = 12; minis both area with the help of 6 and divide with the help of -3 and also you get y= -2. in case you want to graph it, that's y= -2/3x + 3 and y = a million/3x -4
