I love the Laura Ingalls Wilder series of books (Little House on the Prairie and others). I like the time period that her stories were set in, and how they are autobiographical. I was wondering if there are any other books that have stories similar to the ones that she wrote.

As above, I too loved the Gene Stratton Porter books about the Limberlost, and the Anne of Green Gables series.

You can read them here to get a flavour:

http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/45 (Anne of Green Gables)
You can search the authors for their other books.

You might also like the series of novels Mazo de la Roche wrote about the Whiteoak family, starting with Adeline and Philip who settled in Canada in the mid-1800s and built a house called Jalna. The novels follow the fortunes of the family for at least 100 years - I loved them. They might be out of print now, but perhaps you could try the library or somewhere on the internet.
