substitute the first eq into the second:
3x-2(1/4x + 10) =0
3x -x/2 -20=0
5x/2 = 20
x= 20(2)/5 =8 .
and y=8/4 +10 = 12 .

then
y - 10 = 1/4x
and
4y - 40 = x
rewritten
x = 4y - 40
so...
3x - 2y = 0
substitute (4y - 40) for x and we get...
3(4y - 40) - 2y = 0
equals
12y - 2y - 120 = 0
and then
10y = 120
so
y = 12
resubstituting y in and solve for x
12 = 1/4x +10
so
2 = 1/4x
so
x = 8
double checking...
3x - 2y = 0
equals
3(8) - 2 (12) = 0
and 24 - 24 = 0
that's the correct answer
