The risks depend on who does it, yourself and how well you take care of the monroe piercing. I got my monroe done a couple of months ago and it looks great. The back end does not hit my gums nor my teeth because the person who did the piercing knew what he was doing. If you want the piercing to look good then go to someone who knows what they are doing, and take care of the piercing. You should not have any problems with ugly scars, and teeth & gum problems if you get the piercing done right. Personally my monroe did not hurt but remember it can be different for each person. Good luck! And remember the key to avoiding the risks is aftercare and caution!

the quantity of soreness is different for each guy or woman. This Monroe section is commonly a thicker piercing than the nostril, and the section commonly has extra nerves than the nostril. predicted therapeutic Time: 8 - 12 Weeks. possibly pass the Monroe...'particularly once you're frightened in regards to the soreness.

If your getting it professionally done, I think the main risk is a SCAR when you deciede to take it out, you'll probably look like you have a mole or somethig there. But my friend has it and she loves it, I don't think her's ever got infected or anything. but you should always think of the long run, are you going to want that when your 40, married with kids???? Remember the SCAR.

i have two friends who had their monroe done, both took it out eventually and you can't tell there was ever anything there. BUT everyone's body behaves differently so you will never know unless you try. if you really want it, i would get it!

The risk is that people will know you're stupid instead of merely suspecting it.
