You can start part time work when you are 13. But you can only do a MAXIMUM of 3 hours a week at 13.

Until the age of 16 you are only legally allowed to do 7 hours a week - and there are certain restictions on how meny hours you are allowed to do on Saturdays.

Unfortunately your daughter is too young to undertake paid work of any form like the above. I appreciate that she wants to work - I did when I was that age.

What she can do though is volunteer work which gains her some experience so that when she turns 14 she will have something to offer a prospective employer.

When I was her age I worked for the RSPCA in their retail shop during weekends and holidays - and it made getting my first real job much easier. I already knew about stock control, pricing policies, till operation, customer service etc. and that made me more marketable to employers.

So while it may not be exactly what she wants - some experience is a valuable thing and there are no restrictions on volunteer working. Also because it's voluntary she can do as few or as many hours as she likes, I would reckon 4 hours on a Saturday wouldn't prove too onerous.

I dropped out of school at 17 when I found out i became pregnant, then whilst my son became a million and that i became 19 i began college, so I had a 2 365 days smash yet it felt like 20! I felt awkward going back too, incredibly being a youthful mum yet I enjoyed it. on the 1st direction I did the youngest became sixteen, the eldest became 40. the 2nd direction I took became an get admission to and that i became between the youngest at 20! maximum have been of their 30s/40s. i'm doing a level now and that i admire that too. in basic terms decide for it!

Sorry that job was given to someone in Poland because current statutes mean he can except less than minimum wage if he was employed there share a house with 8 mates to keep expenses down and send the money home where its worth more and pay for his house there in a handful of years.

Thanks for your application.

i'm 15 nearly 16 and you can start an official job as soon as she gets a national insurance card. You get a few months before her 16th birthday.
I think you can only work for a maximum of 14 hours....I THINK!!!
