H'mm. How about instead of the usual, why don't the two of you commit to doing a volunteer program together. Local charities, churches, food pantries etc., nearly always can use an extra set of hands. You might ask how is this a gift to you? Its a gift because you will be spending time together which is one of the most precious gifts one can get. And you will be using that time to serve something larger than yourself.

A gift card or a day at the spa is always nice! Let him offer you a gift of pampering! Get your nails and feet done! Get yourself a massage and then get treated to dinner and a movie afterwards!
