How can I fight the mold and get rid of it?

You can wash it with different household products like bleach, Fantastik, etc.(you will have to scrub). But most importantly mold is caused by high humidity. You must buy a dehumidifier and try to keep humidity level below 50%. Otherwise it will always come back.

This depends on the source of the mold. Do you have leaky pipes in the walls? If you aren't sure, you might consult a plumber 1st, as this would explain it.
It might be where you live; high humidity and lack of proper ventilation. If this is the case, you need to install a fan (or 2 or 3) in your basement so that the moisture in the air gets sucked out. It's the same theory as bathrooms. Fans pull out the smell, but they also fight mold in the shower.

Bleach kills mold. Make sure to have plenty of ventilation. And run a dehumidifier in your basement so the mold will be less likely to return.

Bleach the area, let it dry, and the apply Kilz. You then can paint if you need to since Kilz acts like a primer. The mold wlll not return.

Bleach water kills mold, but it's messy, stinks, and can damage anything of color. I would suggest that you get professional help. The mold could be hazardous to your health. Get it checked FAST!!!!!!
