Yes it does depend on your age. Prior to starting menses you can have symptoms of starting it for months in advance, even up to a year. Mood changes and tummy cramps are common.
If you've already started and your cycles haven't set up a regular schedule its quite normal to notice times when you think your getting it but skip 1 or 2 months.
As long as you are not sexually active then you can not be pregnant.
If you have been active then there is a possibility of pregnancy.
If you are older, say 45 you could be going into peri-menopause, in which case you will have started the change of life. It's not uncommon to miss a period or two.
Menopause can be confirmed with a blood test.

Don't worry....it's very common for girls to start at an older age.Just because you have not started and all your friends have....it is nothing to be alarmed about. If you are 18 and still have'nt started...then have your parents take you to a gynocologist.
*I have a friend that did'nt start till she was 17.*

Might be that your body is getting ready then. The more you worry about it the longer the delay. Dont know why just seems that way to me.

If you're looking for your first period, just be patient. Everyone develops at their own pace. (I have friend who got hers at 11 and another who got hers at 16). It'll show up in it's own good time.
