i fell a few months back and landed on the top of my shin. i should of had stitches but it was too late when i went to the doctors. i was prescribed a course of antibiotics which cleared the infection up. i now have a dented scar ...it feels like i have a dent in my bone too. and when i get up, the top of my leg just freezes and really hurts, and there is pain right down my leg - from top to bottom. does any1 know what this could be - is it serious, do i need an x-ray...thanks

first go tell your doctor and do ask for a x-ray. you could have a tiny fracture or you could have chipped the bone they both can cause lots of pain. If you dont get it looked at it could get worse.

Could be nothing or could be something REALLY bad. Best have it looked at.
I have old injuries that go back 30 years or more that hurt on and off quite badly. Aching mostly with the occasional sharpe knife in the wound pain. They accumulate over the years and eventually you get to know them. You can even forecast the weather by your aches and pains!

You could get and xray Yes.... But my brother got into a car wreck and the same thing happend to his chin.. The bone wasn't broke or anything.. And I know he Had pains in his chin for a very long time after that...

you may need an X-ray maybe even an operation because my grandmother went though it to. Let the Doctor see it
