so get a new starter motor

Dead battery, dash light require next to nothing to illuminate. Engine however needs a lot more juice.
Get a jump, that'll will prove dead battery.

these have a built in cylinoid on the starter which has gone out. replace starter

hows the battery?it could be the solenoid,not kicking the starter in.
