For the past three years since the day we moved in I have sent my neighbours a Christmas card and have never got one back, I mean it's only a card and if they don't like me they could send me a horrible card with the holly wreath on or something but they don't. We haven't fallen out but I have just seen her from my window delivering cards to all the other houses and not me, what is the matter with some people, my husband says just send her one because it's no big deal but she is obviously leaving us out for a reason, am I being petty? What do you all think?

You should just send your neighbor a Xmas card, its the thought that counts. just because she may not send you one doesn't mean you need to stoop down to her level and be unthoughtful. Still send one, so she knows that you are a caring person, and no matter how bad she may be, you still remember her at these special time. Kept it up and don't stop, one day she will realize what a great neighbor she has.

Do what I did this year. I used to send out 25 - 35 cards a year. This year, I only sent cards out to friends/family that I've spent time with or have cooresponded with over the past year. Everyone else, I just dropped them. You shouldn't send cards out with the expectation that someone will give you one in return, but if someone doesn't return the favor after a few times, drop 'em!

I have done the same thing for a lot of people and never get one in return. It's the Christmas Holiday, just keep sending one. Be the better person. Maybe they do not send out any cards, and your makes them happy or maybe yours is the only one they get.

Three years? They are giving you a HINT. It must be like driving a dull nail through a thick plank for them.

Give up. Stop annoying them. That, or send them a copy of one of the parodies here:

http://www.tedpack.org/xmasnews.html#parody

He comes up in Google when you look for christmas news letters. Some of the parodies are wonderful. A sample intro:

Felicity Prentice has her kids taking Swedish lessons, for the Nobel awards ceremony. She is gracious: "do feel free to bask in the glow of our glory". This one takes pretension to new and hilarious levels.

Send the card instead to someone you know that will really appreciate it....I am sure it is not personal, it's like being the new kid in school, sometimes you have to be there a while to get noticed, so don't sweat it, forget it.

Don't send her a card, if it's no big deal it shouldn't matter. I'm sending my friends from out-of-state a x-mas card out of formality, i don't plan on sending them anymore after. They're not worthy :).
