Why do some men shave off all of their pubic hair? Is there a specific reason?

For me, I shave off my pubic hair every now and then to be a nice change for my girlfriend. For me it is not a natural look since I have pretty thick hair over all of my chest, arms, and legs. When I do shave it, it looks out of place but the sex feels different. I think that for each man that shaves he has his own reasons. It is just like women and their pubic hair. Some are bald, some are trimmed, and some are bushy.

The porn industry is to blame for the notion that no pubic hair is better. The fact is that pubic hair serves a useful purpose, as it helps to aerate the area and also traps harmful bacteria, something like what the hair in one's nose or small hairs in the ears do. Nature has given us this protection around our genitals, and it is sad that people dont realise this, and resort to shaving it all.
Today, oral sex is common and if people dont keep their pubes clean, oral sex becomes an unpleasant experience. This is despite having no pubic hair. I have talked to some friends and none of them said that their partners' pubic hair gets into their mouth during oral sex! This justification given for total shaving seems to be an exaggeration.
It goes without saying that keeping the pubic area scrupulously clean and trimming pubic hair to a reasonable extent (if so required by either partner) is most important.
Ultimately, it is the individual's personal choice.

Hi,Well I guess most men do it for looks and a cleaner feeling.I'm not sure why its such an obsession nowadays to have no pubic hair.I personally prefer females with pubes at least trimmed but not bare.I personal just trim my pubes cause I'm hirsute.Would never completely shave it all off.By the way Waxing is much better.

It was a fashion back in the 90s because porn actors shaved. It's pretty much out of fashion now, but some people who watch a lot of porn still think its cute. It's a really unhygienic thing to do, as hair lets the air circulate in the area. Without hair, the sweat stays on your skin longer and you STINK. People somehow got the idea that hair is dirty. It's only dirty if you don't wash it.

Do men like hairy women? NO. Then why would women like hairy men? Most don't. People we are Way past the cavemen days, we have cool inventions like the razor or Hair removal creme for men (that's what I use). Personally I don't mind the hair on my legs or arms cause its so light and thin its almost non existent. As for the pubes, I like to trim them just like trimming your head hair to make yourself more presentable and 'neat' looking. I do like to use the creme on my thighs and butt crack, which feels really good when your not wiping and pulling at a lot of gross dirty hair.....less of a mess. What girl wants to give a guy head if she has to find the snake in the bush, trim it looks better and feels better. As for the sweat, like I said we are no longer cavemen out hunting all day and sweating..so we don't need it, just like we don't need baby toes but we have them.

I shave myself for the fact that it makes my pecker feel and look larger. And I also feel that its more sensitive after a fresh shave. Also too when I jerk off that the hair snags and causes irritation. And too I like women that shave so its only fair that if I dont have to floss with there pubes, they dont floss with mine, hope that insight helps!

It's a modern era thing, luv... Society, people, the youth of today are obsessed with being hairless... Women shave off ALL of their hair, except the hair on their head, and men also wish to be hair-free... Waxing their chests, trimming their pubes... It's a modern thing, which slowly began in the 80s, and became rampant in the 90s... Today of course, every body seems so hairless, they either look like pornstars or underage folks!

I personnaly think it is sick to wish to be hairless... It's a sign; a symptom of something unhealthy in one's psyche....

its more simple then youd think. some sheave for looks, some for feel, some trim so its more "preatty" for there partners, its cleaner. the same why girls shave. they dont have to. theres no rule or law. they just do it. some shave for themself and others shave for others. but in the end its all for themself.
