Hi there,
Rover recommended 90k miles or 6 yrs, the service intervals are 15k or 1yr so it all adds up really.
When checked with Autodata too, it's the same 90k or 6yrs. Would advise a timing belt kit though, it's best to change the tensioner too!

Here's why changing a timing belt or gear/chain set early is good wisdom: A lot of vehicles have very close tolerances between piston top and valves.
If the belt breaks (or chain) the pistons can come up and bend valves. That costs far, far more than a belt or chain-gear.
All the best...

60,000 miles according to the MG/Rover web site. Definitely do it before it jumps. If this belt jumps or breaks you will cause severe engine damage

45000 miles or every three years is the recomendation on the wrapper of the one I just fitted. I dont know if it varies from one belt manufacturer to another.
