The mean of the uniform distribution is the midpoint.

Mean = 2.1 ounces

The standard deviation of the uniform distribution is:

(b-a)/SQRT(12) = 4.2/SQRT(12)

The probability that there is less than 3.0 ounces is 3.0/4.2

The probability that there is more than 1.5 ounces is (4.1-1.5)/4.2
