Department of Health guidelines recommend no more that 3-4 units (that's 1 1/2 to 2 pints of standard - not export strength - lager) for a man and no more than 2-3 units per day for a woman.

As many as you would like. Milk is good for you. A pint of liquor is good to you. A pint of ice cream is good also. What kind of pint are you asking about?
