Are there any plans to bring it back? Is there a way to convince Sci Fi and Joss Whedon to continue the series?
A friend of mine recently turned me on to it and I love it now. The movie was awesome too.

Definite,concrete plans-no. Not sure if SciFi have a say in continuing the series-Fox hold the series rights,and Joss won't work with them after they dropped it. Sounds like we're getting some activity-books,Comics,the game being reported...The fans are there wanting more-I listened to the Serenity/Firefly podcasts-check out "the signal" and "Firefly talk"-a south california Serenity/Firefly convention recently was cancelled by the organisers as people were already on their way for the weekend event -The stars of the series heard of this and came along voluntarily to hang out with the fans -One of the Actresses who'd worked on Buffy with Joss was preparing to open a Restaurant with Her Husband-they opened it to these fans before their official opening! Such support and goodwill between cast and fans is touching...I want More from the 'verse!

Unfortunately there are no plans to bring the show back nor are there any to make another movie. Despite being critcally successful the movie didn't make much money so the studio isnt keen on making another one. Although announced just last week, they are developing a Firefly massively multiplayer online game, whether it will be any good remains to be seen.

Fox did not care about the show.The movie lost a ton of money.This show cost a ton of money to make.I saw the movie and it was great. The bean counters and Fox killed this baby.

Remember: there's always DVD. The complete series of Firefly is on DVD.
