All I know is it has 2 CD slots on it, and I do not know if either of them is a CD-RW. Please Help me.

Go to "my computer",left click and highlight the CD drive then right click and go to "properties". You should see a tab with "General, Autoplay, hardware, sharing. Click on "hardware". It should say what type of cd drive it is under "manufacturer", and if you still arent 100% sure just google the entire name of the cd/dvd drive( which is shown under the "hardware tab I showed you"): example "lite on LTN4865 48max".

With Windows XP, you can just drag Files or Music to the Drive icon, then put a blank disk in and press burn.

If you have two CD drives, most likely only one can burn. It usually has what type of CD rom it is right on the drive box. If not, you can right-click in Explorer on the drives and select Properties.

well first off, if you have XP, go to the CD Drive, then check in the CD drive options on the side... if it says to "rewrite, or erase the disk" when it's inserted, then you have a CDRW. if not, then you don't have a CD-RW drive. Software that writes CDRW won't come up unless you change the settings to make it come up.

You may already have software to write the disk. Just inserting a disk dosen't necessarily bring up the read/write screens. I have Roxio in one computer and Nero in another and I have to open the software from the start menu and then tell it what I want too do.

You should be able to look on the front of the drive. Usually it says something like these: CD-ROM or CD-RW or DVD-ROM or CD-RW/DVD-ROM.
