No, I don't think so. It might be a rumor. I have a cousin who lives in Houston and he never heard of such a thing.

There will never be another Disney park in the US. Creating one would draw attendance from either the east coast park (which is reportedly having trouble filling its many hotel rooms) or the west coast park (which is currently seeing a rise in attendance due to the refurbishments they performed for the 50th anniversary).

These rumors pop up from time to time, and they have been attached to every state in the union. Disney may be investing in real estate, but as an investment, not to build another park. A theme park would have to go through years of planning and zoning permits, so if there was going to be another park you'd be hearing about it years in advance.

I heard that Disney was considering purchasing the RenFest or maybe just the land out there. I don't remember 100% of what it was...maybe just rumors. Anyway, that is north of Houston about an hour away.

I don't think Disney is planning to build a theme park in Houston. I have been hearing this rumor for a couple of years now.

I don't think so. AstroWorld just shut down this year. Maybe in the future but there is no scuttle butt out there about it. Good luck on your decisions. Have yourself a Blessed Christmas and a very Happy New Year~~~
