Are your expectations getting in your way? Calm people tend to have appropriate expectations and can more easily stay calm in stressful situations. So when you're on your way somewhere are you thinking "what's taking so long?!" or are you taking that opportunity to make something positive out of the situation - like taking time to relax, or even tell yourself that you'll get there when you get there and getting stressed isn't going to make it happen any faster. I tend to be calm in most situations and, as corny as it sounds, I sometimes silently tell myself calming things or even take time to take a deep breath - which can be really helpful if you're starting to feel angry. It's pretty hard to think rationally when you're angry.

i know that breathing excersizes work well. If you feel yourself being overwhelmed, just stop. If you can, close your eyes (if your driving, don't close your eyes). Then try breathing as slowly as you can; in through your mouth, out through your nose. That will slow your heart, and then you can look at things one at a time. Like if you got a busy day at school getting you tense, just start breathing, then go through the list without getting emotional about it.
i.e.
ok, first i got to take a test in English
After that, i have Psycology with an assignment worksheet to finish. Is there a way between the test and Psyc. to do the test?
....

It really helps me figure things out.
Running, too.

Last thing that helps me is to remember this; There is a God, i'm not Him. I can't do everything, so there's no reason to try.
If things are too much for you, ask God for help. Whats the worst that can happen? He might say no, you gotta figure it out, but He might give you a calmness. A real calmness.

Hope some of this helps you out

Calmness is nothing more than the feeling of being in control. You have a grasp on things, and know that you will not fail while being at the reins. Confidence is the key, here. Be confident in yourself, and you will discover calmness.

School is stressful, and often frustrating. Just know that if you put your mind into your work, you will come out on top. If you let yourself know that you are in control, calm feelings will come your way.

Learn and practice(10 min. a day only) Mindfulness Meditation. Start with being mindful of your breathing.
Mindfulness Meditation helps a great deal to help a person calm down, it erradicates stress anger, impatience, and hatred, and produces patience, tolerance; it also improves a person cognitive thinking skills a great deal.
