I did 2 years ago and had no clue how to use the MAC. I love it. But that choice is really up to you. One thing though I see all the time with these questions: Don't let people tell you they are too expensive. Mac does not make a "budget" computer like all the PC manufacturers do. IF you match there product with that of a PC you will find the price is not that far off, even if Apple is a little more. Small price to pay for superior OS.

My next computer will be the new Mac (Intel chip inside) The reasons are just a few.
One, I like the operating system and the way things look.
Two, The software that is available I find less expensive than PC software.
Three, The most imortant! The new Macs can handle both the Mac OS and Windows. So the software I now own will work.
I get two for the price of one .........the best of both worlds!

Get a Mac. No one ever accidentally buys a Mac. People who own Macs love them. I have two, myself, and a third on the way. They're great for everything under the sun. There's no need to worry about missing out on anything, as Macs can now dual boot with Windows XP. You'll be able to do anything on a Mac. It's true, Macs don't get viruses. It's not because of low market share or lack of users, either. That's a PC fanboy myth. Macs are secure because of it's UNIX underpinnings. Apple doesn't make a budget Mac, it's called the Mac mini. I have two of them, and they are great machines. If you have any specific questions about Mac, send me a message. I'll be glad to tell you all about them.

Hell yes! Macs have a very slim chance of ever getting a virus unlike PC's which get alot of virus's. I highly suggest you buy a Mac.

It depends on what you want to do. Photos, movies, general art stuff is better done on a Mac. And it is true that there aren't half as many viruses.

But, I've got loyalty to PC's so I'd recommend them.
