I got the black chenelle yarn and I want to make a dreadlock wig. How should I put it together?

i made my daughter a raggety anne wig out of regular yarn and a winter hat. the stocking caps , we cut the yarn twice as long as you want the hair, use a crochet hook , put it thru one of the rib /knits on the hat and loop it , pull it out, like you are hooking a rug, or fringing a blanket. granted it is better for outdoor use as it is hot but i guess you could try it on mesh material thats sewed to fit your head.
