I am an American who has been learning about the EPL for about 2 years now, but I haven't settled on one specific team to support. I enjoy following several teams, so maybe I'm just not ready for that kind of commitment yet ;-) Maybe you can help me decide!

If you want a team with American players on it that would narrow it down to:

Everton (Tim Howard, starting goalkeeper)
Fulham (Carlos Bocanegra, substitute defender, Brian McBride, starting forward)
Manchester City (Claudio Reyna (captain for US team), starting midfielder)
Reading (Marcus Hahnemann, starting goalkeeper)

You could also root for one of the big four:
Arsenal (my team)
Chelsea
Liverpool
Manchester United

I'm an American and I support Chelsea, but, before all of you get your undies in a bunch, I started supporting them in the Ken Bates Era, so I'm Pre-Roman & pre-bandwagon!

I started supporting Chelsea because of their form & style of play. They weren't the greatest team, but they always had "that" chance to be great. Zola was instantly my favorite player as he played with a passion that I've yet to see matched in the EPL.

As a previous poster stated, follow who you have that "special" feeling for. Whether you like their kits, their name, or a specific player, and if you're still having trouble, announce yourself as a fan of the greatest league in the world: EPL!!!

I say keep watching until you click with a team. There are people that just aren't made to support just one team...but I don't really see the point in saying "I will from today on support ________" you will end up supporting the team that most fits your liking eventually. I support man united and I can't explain to you WHY I support man united..it's a matter of feeling not of logic..so I say keep watching eventually you'll find that one team that wakes ur passion every match day!

I agree with the Arsenal fans. Like previously mentioned, they play quick attacking football with lots of passing on the ground. They are also a very young team with lots of budding talent, in particular Fabregas and Walcott, athough this may be at the expense of titles because they don't have the experience that say Chelsea or Man U have. And of course they have Henry, one of the best strikers in the world!

But like others said, you just have to keep watching and see what team fits best with your idea of entertaining football.

If you want the most glorious club in EPL then its Liverpool, if u want to go for consistency its ManUtd, for success Chelsea and to see football in a poetry sense go for Arsenal.

just go with the one that feels the most natural to support. Go with your first judgement, instinct, whatever. But don't just randomly pick out of the blue, unless you feel the need to choose a specific club because you are mysteriously drawn to it. Just pick the one the feels right...Actually, you probably won't even end up picking it...It might just pick you instead =)
