The other night while I was dreaming I heard someone call my name. It was not someone familiar because the name the person used is not the one that friends and family use. Thus, this person was in essence a stranger. I have had situations in dreams where people have called my name to give me a cheque or cash: and I have collected it in the dream. However, in this dream, I was clueless as to why the person- who sounded female- called my name. What do you think of this dream experience? Is it significant? Someone suggested that someone was trying to contact me? Is that true?

There is nothing supernatural about dreams. Dreams are the brains way of keeping us entertained as it refreshes itself and processes the thoughts you have/had during the day. Look up "lucid dreaming" on the internet. It will allow you to remain awake consciously while dreaming, so you'll be able to see what thoughts generate what dream experiences. Anyone telling you dreams have some form of supernatural meaning are being overly naive.

I've had my named called by my grandmother the night before she died. I've also had my name called in my dreams by a cousin that has been deceased for years. I would have to say you need to refer to a dream analizing book to see if there is anything in there...dreams do mean things, so check into it if you're concerned, or just interested.

I have had my name called by someone several times in dreams. I believe that there is significance sometimes; other times, not.

of course i have...maybe its my parents trying to wake me up but...i ignore the person who is calling me in a dream...a dream is your imagination helping you get away from reality...oh yeah, you can only hear spirits or ghosts if you believe in them...
