You need to take it to a garage that either has the vauxhall tech scanner or and advanced code reader, but its not just a question of turning the light off as that light comes on when the vehicle goes in to "limp home Mode" which means there is a fault with one of the systems on the vehicle

Usually you can disconnect the battery cables for a few minutes then reconnect them to turn off an engine light. That is IF the problem has been fixed that caused it to come on in the first place. If it's not fixed the light will probably just come right back on.

you need to either get the dealer or reputable garage such as the Bosch car service network of approved garages. they have the diagnostic tool that will speak to your ECU and re-set the management light. however if it comes on its there for a reason and tools like the Bosch KTS 650 will speak to it and check out possible causes, or it may simply have been programmed to come on at service interval.usually the charge for re-setting is about £50.00 + vat

You need to get it on a scan tool called tech 2 this will locate the area of fault then you need to get it fixed.Do not try to remove bulbs thats a waste of time. Vauxhall dealers have this tool snap on with the right software will also do it.Mick UK

Take it to a garage and they'll hook it up to a diagnostics rig. It could be an expensive fix, especially if the ECU has gone t*ts up. Good luck.

you can access the fault by earthing pin six of the diagnostic socket (underneath handbrake lever panel in centre consol) and turning ignition on and counting flashs on warning light.
