this wont install what ever i do.it keeps trying but keeps failing.what
can i do??

Open start in your tray and open Microsoft Updates. Wait till the page loads and scan for critical updates or customs updates and select the ones you want to download.
Just know that you must have a valid key for any critical updates from Microsoft, as they will use their WGA, tool to check your registration key for your platform plus record your hardware. If you platform is valid you will get the updates. If not you will be warned and no updates. Microsoft may even shut you down.

Here is a seperate Microsoft download site for this Update. Anytime an Update fails, put the Update number in the search bar in any Microsoft.com page and you will be able to get to the special download page for it.

Are you useing windows update in all programs?Go into start,all programs,at top select windows or microsoft update.If you need it it will show you in there.Click express and it will check for all your downloads you need.
