So he has 5 girlfriends. They ALL know about each other and are ok with it so what's the big deal. It's a lot better than some guy having 5 girlfriends and NOT telling the girls about it. At least Hef's honest.
He's an icon. Helps beautiful women make some money, spices up sex lives, has interesting and useful articles in his mags and publishes fantasies. What's so bad about that?

I dont think it is his personality that makes the girls hang around. Rather what hanging around him can achieve for them. It gives them firstly a different lifestyle, it gives them exposure to the people that Hugh has access to and it is not doubt a great money spinner. It is amazing what people will do to get on in the world as they must be a certain type of person to be okay with the other 4 girlfriends.

It's a number of reasons- he has charm, he doesn't appear false, he doesn't seem to begrudge anybody else, he isn't a hypocrite (he doesn't pretend to be anything he isn't). He doesn't cheat on his girlfriends because they all know about each other. He is an older man who appears to be genuinely enjoying life without knowingly hurting anybody. To many, that may not seem necessarily preferable to a genuinely loving, intellectually fulfilling marriage but it is far preferable to the unhappy, desperate lives many people live.

He really doesn’t have 5 girlfriends. It’s a business gimmick.
If he did is it wrong. You bet it is!
In addition… the girls in his magazine don’t really look that good. All the photos are digitally touched up. You can do the same thing using photoshop by using the Liquify tool. Any one can have the prefect body using photoshop!

Hefner revolutionized women's sexuality! He brought men's fantasies to life! I think it is wrong that he has 5 girlfriends, but a lot of guys have more than one woman. They just aren't as well known so it is not publicized! I am not a BIG fan of his...but I am sure many of my male friends are!

#2 - It goes to show, most people can be bought, if not for his money, he would probably be bouncing grandchildren on his knees instead of young women barely out of their teens, honestly now, how interested would these women be if not for the gifts, glamor and fame lavished upon them!

I can think of a few reasons: He owns Playboy Manor, knows celebs who get nude, rich, sells the playoy magazines that millions of pervs buy.

hell no...he's that old and still has something going on to keep the hotties coming back for more.. that guy is awesome
not to mention he has given our guys a reason to stay faithful instead of going out and sampling the real thing!
