A "Yahoo" was one of the character/races that Gulliver encountered on his "Travels" (see/read "Gulliver's Travels"). The "Yahoos" were very unusual people who, if I recall correctly, had their faces on the trunk of their body (no heads, per se) and constructed their buildings from the roof down.
