when posting a letter or package, as the price has doubled for some items just because of the size of the envelope and not because of the weight.

A bigger envelope dosent weigh more, it all depends whats in it ! dur

not on about tv's they are parcels. Reprase question, should you be charged extra for one sheet of A4 paper just cos you havent folded it?

With the new machines used by the post office standard size items can be checked, franked and sorted by computer thus saving a lot of wages for the management to spend on new cars, bonuses etc. However larger packets and envelopes have to be sorted etc. by hand so cost more on wages hence larger the package more the cost

(example) take a television, would you expect to pay the same price for a 14''inch tv, where one person can carry, or a 32'' tv where it takes two people to carry, or if you have 100 standard 6x4 envulopes, or 100 A4 sheets of paper. so size and weight does matter.

A bigger envelop weighs for sure more than a smaller envelop that's why we have to pay more.

yeah if the envelope is bigger u pay more, if it weighs more u still pay more!

yea a bigger one is more difficult for the machines to handle and takes up a lot more space.
